With the latest iOS update, ie iOS 14.3, with this the shortcut app now gets wallpaper automation that allows you to change your iPhone’s wallpaper automatically.

iOS 14 takes this a step further by allowing you to use new widgets, flexible tiles, which will enable you to work or get information faster at a glance.

How to Change Your iPhone’s Wallpaper

First make sure that your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS, i.e. iOS 14.3.

  1. Download the Shortcuts app on your iPhone, if you haven’t yet.
  2. After that, go to Settings > Shortcuts > enable Allow Untrusted Shortcuts.
  3. then next, open your phone’s browser and download the AutoWall shortcut.
  4. After that, click on Get Shortcut. Doing this will redirect you to the Shortcuts app. Scroll down to the bottom and click on Add Untrusted Shortcut.
  5. Now go to My Shortcuts and tap the three-dots on the AutoWall shortcut.
  6. Click on Allow Access followed by clicking on OK to give AutoWall permission to use all your photos.
  7. Now, you can choose the folder from which you want the wallpapers to automatically cycle through.
  8. Once you have selected the desired folder, click on Done to save the shortcut. 

With this, you have just finished setting the shortcut. Now it’s time to set up the automation process.

  1. Open the Shortcuts app > click on Automation > click on Create Personal Automation.
  2. After that, choose the Time of Day option.
  3. On the next screen, set the time and frequency for your automation.
  4. Now, click on Next followed by clicking on Add Action on the next screen.
  5. Search for the Run Shortcut action and select it.
  6. Now, click on Shortcut and select AutoWall from the list of available shortcuts.
  7. Click on Next. Now, disable Ask Before Running to make sure that the automation is triggered automatically.
  8. Finally, click on Done to finish setting up the automation.

Now every time you set the clock for automation, your iPhone will automatically change the home-screen and lock-screen wallpaper.
