WhatsApp group is a very famous feature to keep in touch with friends and family around the world. However, to simplify things WhatsApp previously allowed anyone can add to anyone to the WhatsApp group, as long as they had the contact number of the other person.

After much user feedback, WhatsApp decided to fix the problem by giving privacy settings to prevent users from randomly adding users to WhatsApp groups.
WhatsApp announced a new feature with that unknown users will not be able to add you to their groups. Rather than, you can stop everyone from adding you or you can just let things go as they are and allow everyone to add you.

How To Stop Others From Adding You to WhatsApp Groups
Before Implementing this Following steps, make sure that you have already installed the latest version of WhatsApp on your device.
- Open WhatsApp on your Android smartphone and click on the vertical three-dots icon on the top-right.
- Then Next, click Settings > Account > Privacy.
- Now tap Groups and select one of the three given options — Everyone, My Contacts, or My Contacts Except
- If you select Everyone, then anyone can add you to groups.
- If you select My Contacts only it allows your contacts to add you to WhatsApp groups.
- At Last, the third option My Contacts Except lets you allow only selected people to add you to WhatsApp groups.
- You can either select contacts one by one or you can even select all contacts by clicking on the Select All icon on the top-right.
- Then people will send you the group invitation via a private chat. You will then have three days before accepting or rejecting the request to join the group.
