How to Download Windows 11 on Your PC. Windows 11 arrives to deliver the best experience that Microsoft has designed for you this year. The new operating system promises to launch a free 10 users later this year as Windows upgrades. But if you can’t wait and are looking for a way to download Windows 11 right away, you can definitely take a short route and download your system’s latest operating system preview build today. It doesn’t give you the experience beyond its public debut Windows 11.
Microsoft did not give any exact time when we will get Windows 11 upgraded from our Windows 10 machine. However, Redmond, a Washington-based company, expects it to roll out as early as October. This means that sometime this year your machine will be able to get a newer Windows version – or next year – depending on the rollout process.
However, Microsoft has provided a preview of Windows 11 Insider to further test the latest Windows operating system of its official rollout. Here’s how you can do it.

How You Can Download Windows 11 Insider Preview on Your PC Before you begin the steps, it is important to note that Inside Previews are designed specifically for testing purposes and should not be installed on your primary PC. You experience some flaws and errors, and some of the features showcased by Microsoft last month aren’t part of the insider build. Still eager to get started? You can follow the steps below.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insights Program and sign up for Windows Insights program. And then, press Register to sign up. If you are already a part of the Windows Insider community, you can sign in to your account and click start flighting.
- Review the Privacy Statement and terms appearing on your screen and click Submit.
- Select the Insider Settings Developer Channel to download. And install the current Windows 11 Build Windows Insights preview and press the Confirm button.
- Your machine will now ask you to read the privacy statement and agreement inside Microsoft. Once you’ve reviewed the statement and terms, click Confirm.
- Now, press Restart Now to restart your machine to get the Insider Preview build.
- After restarting, make sure you have an active internet connection connected. You can then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click the Update button.
- Your PC will start downloading the latest build of a Microsoft server.
Notably, Windows 11 requires some minimal hardware that must be met in order to download the preview build. You can check those requirements from the Microsoft website.
