How to Set Caller Tune on Airtel. Airtel is the largest telecom operator in India. And according to the latest figures from the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), it ranks second when it comes to wireless membership. As of January 31, 2021, Airtel’s J Reliance Jio, Vodafone, and other major telecom operators in India, including BSNL, added a maximum of 5.8 million new wireless subscribers. Airtel offers its prepaid and postpaid subscribers who have a caller tune or call it as Airtel service host – Hello Tune. Just like the caller tune, Hello Tune allows your caller to listen to any music you choose until you place a ring tone, answering their calls.
Airtel customers need the Wynk Music app to set a hello tune. It should be noted that prepaid customers will be able to set a hello tune for free as it is an unlimited plan. How to activate Hello Tune/ caller tune for Airtel prepaid and postpaid customers:-
- Download the free Wynk Music app from Google Play store or App Store.
- Register with your Airtel phone number and enter the OTP.
- On the home screen, tap on the Airtel Hellotunes icon on the top right.
- Here, you can browse or search for a song you like.
- Tap on the song and select Activate for free.
Your Airtel Hello Tune has arrived. Activating this song and unlimited plan users can renew the tune for 30 days from the date without any charge. You can change the tune whenever you like.
Airtel Hello Tune cannot be determined by a USSD code or helpline number. So as non-smart 4G phone users feature phone users, the whole process will be a little more tedious. They set the hello tune using the Wynk Music app to the smartphone, to transfer their SIM card. And then return the SIM to the non-smart phone. 4G connectivity and above can tune the phone hello.
To disable Hello Tunes on your Airtel number, tap on the hamburger menu on the top left in the Wynk Music app > Manage Hellotunes > three dot menu next to the current Hello tune > Stop Hellotune > Stop Hellotune > Done.
