How to enable: WhatsApp finally rolled out the ‘Always mute’ option

The popular messaging app, WhatsApp, has now released its much awaited feature to end users. One end can silence their chats indefinitely. WhatsApp’s “Always Silent” option app is available on both iOS and Android versions.

Facebook’s proprietary messaging app has been in the works for quite some time now. Now many are working on the beta version as the news calls around. On Friday, the company officially announced a stable release on Twitter which can be seen as an option along with the “always mute” feature, the 8-hour and one-week option to mute chat.

The ‘always mute’ option is self explanatory as it basically changes the time limit. To mute a chat or a group. With the release of the feature, users can now mute the chat instead of the bottom 1 year ceiling. This is a blessing in disguise for all the annoying chatter you ever want to pamper but feel too rude to block.

How to enable WhatsApp ‘Always Mute’ option:

Enabling the ‘Always mute’ option is very easy. Android users, you need to go to WhatsApp and then open the chat you want to mute. Then, click on the three buttons in the top right corner of the chat head and click “Silent Notification.” You can choose a time period later if you want to mute a specific chat or group in three options available: 8 hours, 1 week, or always.

For iOS users, go to the chat you want to mute, select the chat head and then tap the mute option. Choose the time period according to your needs.

Silent notification is another interesting feature. The Android version of the app gives you an option to “show notifications” even after you mute. This means that the chat will not go silent. Although a pop-up notification will be displayed on the screen, the message will still show the Android phone’s main notification panel drop-down menu. This feature is only available to iPhone users, as any such message is reflected after enabling the mute option on iOS.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp on Thursday introduced new features that allow WhatsApp business users to sell products directly from the platform. The feature will allow the shopping business to have a WhatsApp chat done directly. The company will provide small business hosting services through Facebook’s partners in the country.

\While WhatsApp already charges businesses for sending notification messages to customers, the new service platform allows new monetization-making opportunities. The company’s Facebook Hosting solution requires additional payments. And both the business and the customer will be made aware that their data is being made Facebook in such a situation.
