How to Create a UAN Number Online? The UAN number is required when you join the Employees Provident Fund. Although the Employees Provident Fund Association (EPFO) allows employers. Through its portal to generate their employee’s global account numbers (commonly known as UAN). Individual users can create their UAN online.

You can view your Employees Provident Fund (EPF). Once you have the account your 12-digit UAN number is created. This allows you to view your passbook and check the total amount in your EPF account.

How to create a UAN number online:-

Before starting the steps to create a UAN number online. You need to have your Aadhaar number ready. You need to keep your mobile phone. The nearest one-time password (OTP) as there will be an SMS message.

Visit the Member e-Sewa on the EPFO portal.
Click on Active UAN under the Important Links section.
Now, click on the Aadhaar option and then enter your Aadhaar number.
Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and CAPTCHA code.
Hit the Get Authorization Pin button.
You will now get a new screen where you will be provided with your given details. Ensure that those are correct.
Click on the Agree checkbox.
Now, enter the OTP you receive on your mobile.
Click on Validate OTP and Activate UAN.
