How to Activate Jio SIM Card. According to the latest figures from the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio is the largest telecom provider in India. This is Airtel’s 29.83 per cent and Vodafone’s idea (vi) 24.20 per cent to 35.54 per cent market share. Jio has about 4.2 million new wireless subscribers, the most in February this year.

The Jio SIM activation process can be started once you have purchased a new SIM card. After submitting all the documents, so the customer is asked to tele-verify that SMS are sent to their alternate number. If you do not receive the SMS, you will have to wait 7 days or so call 1800-8899-999 to check the status of your application.

How to activate your Jio SIM Card (voice + data):-

Using the phone that has your Jio SIM, call 1977.
You will be asked to enter a five digit T-PIN (Tele-Verification PIN) to complete the tele-verification process. This PIN was sent to your alternate number. SMS must be present.
Let’s say you get your alternate number one T-PIN 1977 or 1800-890-1977 T-PIN again.
Enter the five digit T-PIN.
Alternatively, you can enter the last four digits of your Aadhaar number.
After your complete the steps successfully, so your Jio SIM should be activated.

If your SIM does not wait a few hours to activate. If still not active, contact Jio Customer Support. It should be noted that the tele-verification process must be completed within 30 days of placing a new SIM. If not, the order will be canceled.

How to activate your Jio SIM Card (data only):-

If you wish to activate only data services on your Jio SIM, dial 1800-890-1977 from any number.
Choose your preferred language.
You will be asked to enter your Jio number.
Once done, data services should be activated on your Jio SIM.
