The user can restore deleted stories that have not been archived within 24 hours instead of deleting them. There is one thing that has been permanently posted or archived. Users can restore within 30 days of deleting. The social media platform feature was brought out to give users a sense of accomplishment. Control in case their accounts were hacked and the posts deleted.
“Hackers sometimes know when we delete content when they access an account. And until now people were easily notified, receiving their photos and videos back in blog posts,” Instagram had no way. “We ask people to verify that they are the rightful holder of the first permanent deletion. Restore deleted or recent content,” he said.

Here is how you can restore deleted post and stores on Instagram:
- Open Instagram.
- Go to your Profile Picture.
- Select Settings, then go to Account.
- Scroll down till you see the Recently Deleted option, click on it.
- Make sure you have the latest version of Instagram.
- Select the post or story you want to restore, click on the three dots, and select Restore.
Notes Instagram photos, video, reels, video is IGTV. Select and delete the story you are removed from your account immediately. And moved to the Recently Deleted folder.

- Select three dots > Settings.
- Turn the toggle on for Save Story to Archive or Save Live to Archive.
